A Grandma Visit

Holli's mom is here! Yeah Grandma has come from Missouri and is here for almost 2 weeks! She gets to meet Owen for the first time. He likes her right away.

 A Saturday drive out to one of our favorite spots. Marin didn't want to be in the actual picture so she just stood in the background and acted creepy.

We went to the beach on Sunday. She and Marin spent a lot of time digging in the sand and swimming in the water. They had a lot of fun together that day. Marin is smitten with her Grandma.

We made it out to pick berries! Yeah! We had a great
 time and got a whole gallon. 

Owen stops for a snack since he couldn't snack on berries. We just plopped ourselves down in the middle of some berry-bushes and hoped that the berry bugs didn't get us.

 

First Hair Cut!!!

Look at those beautiful curls! While we just love her hair, she does not, she has a lot of knots because it does not get brushed everyday, sometimes because her mother forgets, and sometimes because she won't let her mother do it. But the tangles were the result of fine baby hair and uneven lengths. Ohhh just look at those little curls!!! What were we thinking?
Well here she is in the chair, thinking she is hot stuff, big sister, first hair cut!
















She gets a cape and everything.

Its not so curly in this picture. But don't you all worry she still has the curl! Its very very curly now, we washed it and let the humidity do its business and ohhh you just wait until you see the curls now! I was really sad about it, and sometimes still am. Its just a big deal to cut your kids baby hair off. We love her hair, those red curls. I will post more pictures of her new big girl hair cut.

This is her certificate for getting her hair cut. In case you cannot read it the last line says, "has graduated from babyhood." ohhh that makes me so sad. I'm just not ready to admit that she is growing up. She will always be our little girl no matter how old she gets.
